ABOUT ME

I’ve had a connection to art and design for as long as I can remember. Art always came easily to me and growing up I submerged myself into my craft and quickly forgot everything around me. I always had a passion for helping others and making a difference, so I decided to study medicine, never really realizing the power I had within the very art I loved. Needless to say, though extremely interesting to me, I was not as passionate about biology as I was to put a pencil crayon to paper and bring my crazy ideas to life. I soon switched into a Fine Arts program and an entire new world welcomed me. I finally had an excuse to fuel my creativity 24/7 and was invigorated by other like-minded individuals.

At this same time, I joined the charity fashion show at my school, and this is where it all changed. I had discovered fashion design. From this point on, all I could think about was making a collection and showing it in the school fashion show (I decided this in November). Never having touched a needle, I absorbed as much information as the internet would allow and in March the following year, I was showing my very first fashion collection. I was chosen to show my second collection the following year, and I completely changed the gears on my art degree to focus all future assignments and my final thesis on textiles and wearable media.

Upon graduating I landed a few jobs working with upcoming designers in Toronto, from whom I learned heaps and became extremely inspired to start my own brand. I knew that my final goal would be to focus on sustainability, being no stranger to the current decline of our climate system. I wanted to learn everything from the very best, so I took up post graduate studies in Sustainable Fashion Production and I am even more empowered to help our planet in any way that I can, using my love for creativity, fashion, and design. I aspire to leave the world a better place, and I hope that one day I can inspire other creatives to do the same.
